Stories of the Sahaba

Stories of the Sahaba

Assalamu’alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barkatuhu,

Before you read this blog entry, i know many had read this but i ask you & i need you on this case to compose yourself, concentrate and as you read, put yourself inside the story so you get the feel of this story. in sha Allaah.

Ready? Bismillaah.

_______

Imagine this scene:

"MUHAMMAD ﷺ HAS DIED"

- this news had been hovering around the town, from one companion to another, imagine the shock, the pain, the grief of losing someone who is most beloved to you, more than your wife/husband or even than your own parents?

When this news reached 'Umar Ibn Al Khattab Radiyallahu Anhu, he was in such grief that he could not bear the shock that he stood with his sword in his hand, confused and bewildered.

Seeing this, ‘Uthmaan Ibn Affaan Radiyallahu Anhu was stunned on such lost that he could not utter a single word even until the next day and then 'Ali Ibn Abi Talib Radiyallahu Anhu couldn't bear it as well, that it made him still and motionless.

Imagine the tragedy of this day, the dark atmosphere, the cries, the pain, the sorrow, that wherever you look, you see great companions at grief, people you see as strong, now at their weakest. subhan’Allaah.

After all the chaos that this news brought, with the love of Abu Bakr As Sidiqq Radiyallahu Anhu for Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi wassalaam, he was the only one who stood firm and maintained composure. He calmly entered the house of Muhammad sallallahu allaihi wassalaam, kissed his forehead and went out and said:

"Whoso worshipped Muhammad ﷺ  let him know that Muhammad is no more, and whoso worshipped Allaah  Azza Wa Jall should know that Allaah  Azza Wa Jall is Ever Living and Eternal.”

then recited:

"Muhammad is not but a messenger. [Other] messengers have passed on before him. So if he was to die or be killed, would you turn back on your heels [to unbelief]? And he who turns back on his heels will never harm Allah at all; but Allah will reward the grateful." [3:144]

-these were the very words that gave the bitter truth to them & assuring comfort that made them firmer in their faith- that Allaah Azza Wa Jall is Al Haay, The Ever Living.

______

Subhan’Allaah reminisce & imagine this day.

Wallah, putting in mind the scene of this breaks hearts, indeed this day was the greatest tragedy that the believers of Islaam, the Muslims and the humanity went through.

So take heed people, no Muhammad sallallahu Alaihi wassalaam will come back to put us back into the right path, because He had shown and taught us this right path that we all are looking for. He has delivered and spread Islaam to the hearts of all of us, when will we realize this gift of Mercy?

How can you not have tears in your eyes, when you know that Allaah Azza Wa Jall out of His Abundant Mercy and Love for us, chose the best of His Creations to embody this gift, showcase and deliver to us all?

Wallah, how can you say Allaah Azza Wa jall doesn’t love you? Why just because you are facing a hardship now? Please, know that your sufferings now was not even close to the sufferings that Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wassalaam went through, even not close to how the Sahabah did as well.

My brother and sister in Islam, if there was something that will make your eyes cry just by hearing it’s story, it should be this story not the love stories you hear and watch on the cinemas or televisions, if not this then by Allaah Azza Wa Jall, reflect from the state of imaan you have right now, then ask yourself, how have you been doing on pleasing Allaah Azza Wa Jall?

We think so much of this dunya, we please people so much and forget to please the One who deserves all our time, effort and love, Allaah Azza Wa Jall. You, who calls himself a Muslim, does everything in this world to place himself on a status that people will recognize him but forgets to do his deeds that will place him into a status that will make Allaah Azza Wa Jall would recognize him on the Promised Day.

How sad and true is this! Astagfirullaah.

Dear soul. you were made perfectly by Allaah Azza Wa Jall,  placing every organ and part of your body in it’s best positions and made it  functioning well, He made this religion perfect, and He made his Best one of His to deliver this Best Gift to all mankind.

If you think that you are going astray then LISTEN, you hear the adhan, 5 times a day, everyday He calls you back, wallah, Allaah Azza Wa Jall, calls you back… Come to Salaah, Come to Success, Allahu’akbar! Subhan’Allaah.

Do not cover your ears, Allaah Azza Wa Jall never gets tired, but is it not a shame that He doesn’t when you, who is loved by Him, don’t even want to try?

______

and we pray that Allaah Azza Wa Jall soften our hearts everytime we hear and read the stories of the Prophets, Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wassalaam, the stories of the sahabah, the great scholars and inspirational stories of Muslims on how they found back their faiths. May Allaah Azza Wa jall with His Greatness, fill our hearts with the generosity of learning and sharing what we have learnt.

Aameen
